The Department of Art, Art History, and Design is proud to announce the annual Art History Symposium. The symposium will be held on Friday, April 29th, from 9 - 1 in O'Shaughnessy 119.
Come to celebrate your graduating colleagues' achievements and learn more about their research. Get exposed to the freshest methodologies and latest in art historical styling!
This year presenters will be speaking on art and artists from a diverse variety of historical eras, including
- Fra Angelico's fresco painting in quattrocento Florence
- Peter Paul Ruben's paintings from the Flemish Baroque
- 19th century Italian landscapes by French artist Guillaume Bodinier
- Realist political paintings made by Antonio López García and Antonio Henrique Amaral in mid-20th century Spain and Brazil
- Paul Klee's paintings made during the period of the early 20th century German avant-garde
- Contemporary developments in digital photography
