Photographer Jason Lazarus Lecture

-

Location: 200 Riley Hall

Internationally exhibited, Chicago based photographer, Jason Lazarus will be visiting the University of Notre Dame to discuss the politically nature of his artwork.  The lecture will be held at 4pm in room 200 of Riley Hall.  Jason received his MFA from Columbia College Chicago in 2003 and is currently a professor of Photography at the School of the Art Institute also in Chicago.  Recently he has been interviewed on ART 21 and is currently represented by Andrew Rafacz Gallery (Chicago) and Kaune, Sudendorf Contemporary (Cologne, Germany).

His compelling and critically acclaimed series entitled “Self Portrait of an Artist” is a presentation of his own explorations of cultural moments, by way of the camera, where the viewer is compelled with the individual artist’s perspective on events much broader than the individual.
