Arthur P. Bourgeois, Ph.D. professor of art history, Governors State University, University Park, Illinois, will talk about the new special exhibition, WEALTH-POWER-SOCIETY:African Art from the Owen D. Mort, Jr. Collection, which features 19th- and 20th-century objects from traditional African groups. Included in the display are royal costumes, beadwork, iron and brass weapons, masks, and other objects.
