Please join us on September 10, at 7pm in Room 200 Riley Hall of Art as artist and filmmaker Jake Fernandez lectures about his work over the last 40 years.
Also working in collage, video, and conceptual performance, Jake Fernandez’s practice in painting and drawing (where the majority of his work is collected) has implications of duration. Durational work is work that is created over a span of time, or that has implications of time. An example Fernandez’s case is a group of three paintings where each one is created around the same theme every ten years.
