Please congratulate Ryan Geraghty, BFA Senior, for being our fifth Notre Dame Senior within the past six years to be recognized as the Top Industrial Design Student within the IDSA’s Midwest District
This honor was awarded on April 14th, after Ryan’s presentation to over 400 attendees of the Industrial Designers Society of America Midwest District Conference at the Downtown Chicago Hyatt. The decision was juried by a five-person panel of IDSA’s MW District Chapter Chairs. Evaluative criteria included student design work, a  verbal presentation and summary posters that were displayed by the nine competing schools. Ryan earned top honors in the midst of an extremely competitive day that ended with Purdue placing third, UIUC placing second and Notre Dame placing first amidst nine programs.

This honor places Ryan as one of only five nationally recognized 2012 industrial design seniors, each representing their respective National IDSA Districts. For this recognition, Ryan’s work will be featured at the 2012 International IDSA Conference in Boston on September 15th. Ryan will receive complementary admission to the conference where he’ll be recognized during the Annual Awards Ceremony.

Hats off to Sophia Lee and  Ryan Geraghty!
