2013 MA Art History Symposium

This year's Art History Graduate Student Symposium will be held Fri., April 26th, 1:00 - 3:30 pm, in the Palm Room. Symposium presenters are graduate students in our MA and BA/MA Dual Degree programs. Each student gives a 20-minute presentation on research undertaken.

1:20 pm | Rachel Schmid – “The Synagogue Mosaic at Sepphoris: An Alternate Perspective Involving Calendar, Agriculture, and Magic”

1:40 pm | Kirsten Milliard – “Architecture in the Design and Content of the Odbert Psalter” (Boulogne-sur-mer, Bibliothèque municipale, MS 20)

2:00 pm | Caroline Maloney – “Art in the Third Space: Hybridity and Proteanism in the Life and Paintings of Pamela Colman Smith”

2:20 pm | Anna O’Meara  - “Speaking the Language of Religion for the Last Time”: “Guy Debord's Critique of Religion in The Society of the Spectacle and In Girum Imus Nocte et Consumimur Igni”
