Stachowski and Choe: honors at IHA Design Competition

Please congratulate two of our best. 
 
Bre Stachowski and Sunoh Choe have both brought honor home to Notre Dame, earning recognition from the 2013 International Housewares Student Design Competition. Their design work was completed in partial fulfillment of the course Product Design Research Project, DESN 31204, Sections 1 and 2.

 Breanna Stachowski, BS/BA Senior (Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Design)

Bre’s design submission (The Neat Seat) earned third place in competition with 256 industrial design students, entering from a total 26 programs.  Bre also formerly earned honorable mention in the 2012 IHA Student Design Competition. Upon receiving notification of her award, Bre commented that in, “2 MORE YEARS AND I COULD HAVE MAYBE GOTTEN TO FIRST...”

Sunoh Choe, BA Senior (Industrial Design)

Sunoh’s design submission (The Rack-Over Bathroom Organizer) earned an honorable mention in his first entry to the IHA Student design competition.

Work by both Bre and Sunoh will be displayed at the IHA show at McCormack Place in early March. As a third place Winner, Bre will be presenting her work from a prepared booth at the show’s Design Oasis.
