University of Notre Dame Ceramics Research Asociate Zach Tate has received a $70,000 grant from the Elkhart County Community Foundation on behalf of Goshen Youth Arts.

Currently, Tate is the Executive Director of Goshen Youth Arts which is a nonprofit organization providing after school, weekend, and summer break art programs for middle and high school youth in the greater Goshen/Elkhart area. GYA's goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote the growth, understanding, and importance of art in our society. This grant from the ECCF will help GYA restore its residence at a historically registered Queen Annes style building and fully develop its Youth Outreach Studios.
