Nooshin Hakim Javadi
Assistant Professor, Sculpture
Nooshin Hakim Javadi works at the intersection of sculpture, installation, and performance. As an Iranian now living in the United States, Javadi’s practice investigates the material culture of conflict, displacement, and transition, considering how these experiences are internalized by the body. She received her BFA from Tehran university in sculpture and MFA from university of minnesota in Visual Arts and minor in Projection design. She
Javadi is the recipient of a 2017 Franconia Sculpture Park Jerome Fellowship, a 2020 Emerging Artist Jerome Fellowship, and a 2018/2019 Target Studio for Creative Collaboration Fellow at the Weisman Art Museum.
