ISLA is very pleased to announce an upcoming information session with representatives from the National Science Foundation!
The NSF's Science and Technology Studies program regularly funds projects in the humanities and social sciences that "investigate the intellectual, material, and social facets of the scientific, technological, engineering and mathematical (STEM) disciplines." You can survey a list of projects recently funded by the NSF STS program here.
On November 19 at 12:00 noon, ISLA will host a webinar on this grant program with Fred Kronz and Wenda Bauchspies, program directors from NSF. Historian and ND professor Ted Beatty, who recently won an NSF STS grant, will also attend. An open Q&A session will follow presentations from our guests. Postdoctoral fellows and faculty at any rank are welcome to attend.
