Grant opportunities in AAHD: Wrappe Summer Internship & Gero Travel

Author: Dept. Staff

Greetings Undergraduates,

The Department of Art, Art History, and Design is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the following grants: Gero Family Travel Grant and the Wrappe Family Summer Internship Grant.

The Gero grant supports travel and related expenses for a research paper, senior thesis, or capstone studio project in pursuit of a B.A. or B.F.A. degree in studio art or art history. All proposals for travel must be approved and sponsored by a faculty advisor. Travel may occur during the academic year or during the summer, and may be in conjunction with a study abroad experience, or an independently planned research trip. A limited number of awards range from $3000-6000 dollars. A written proposal is required to apply. Gero applications are due March 31, 2017.

The Wrappe Family Grant supports summer internships of rising seniors (current juniors) who will be partaking in a summer internship. This grant is intended to offset the costs associated with accepting internships; applicants can receive up to $5,000 dollars. To apply, please fill out both an application and put together a written proposal. Wrappe applications are due April 10, 2017
