Visit large art organizations, arts councils, sculpture parks or community art center websites to find opportunities like this or this.
If there is a specific museum or gallery you are interested in working for and don’t find an internship listed, you can send an email or give the gallery or museum a call to inquire.
Rarely will you find an internship listed for a specific artist. If there is an artist you are interested in working with, contact them through their website and send an introductory email describing your interest in working with them and what skill set you may offer. To insure that it would be a valuable experience for both of you, set up specific terms in regards to tasks, job responsibilities and a work schedule. Contact the DUS or faculty member in your area for support and feedback.

An artist residency is a concentrated period of time for you to make art with a community of other artists outside of school. They can last for a week and up to several months or a year. Many are in the summer. Some of them you pay for, and some of them pay you- but usually with the expectation that you would lead a workshop or contribute somehow to the community.
