Elyse Speaks is an art historian who specializes in modern and contemporary art. Her general interests include sculpture and media from the 1960s, contemporary women artists, gender studies, media studies, contemporary photography and installation, craft and art, and representations of domesticity in art. Her current projects include writing on the rise of radical craft in contemporary art and on the expanded tradition of artistic practice that engages with the space and tenets of domestic life.
