"Gendering Creation: An Art Exhibit with Facsimiles at Notre Dame"

Seán Cotter, a sophomore Art History major, will be presenting an exhibit case that culminates a year-long Directed Readings with Professor Danielle Joyner on the topics of Gender Studies and Medieval Art. The exhibit explores how a social concept such as Gender impacts artistic representations of biblical imagery, specifically Creation sequences in illuminated manuscripts from the sixth through the thirteenth centuries.
