Benjamin Funke and Gabrielle Gopinath will have a solo exhibition at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts from August 4 - October 27.
A reinterpretation of the 1975 short film by Peter Greenaway, in collaboration with musician Cooper Crain, Benjamin Funke and Gabrielle Gopinath create a psychedelic meditation on water. In Water Wrackets, a trancelike soundscape of forlorn beauties and strange vibrations is paired with a montage sequence of luminous images that metamorphose from Nature to Artifice and back again. The photographic visuals feature local tributaries.
Opening Reception will be August 2, 5-8pm.
