Assembling the Lunar
a solo exhibition by BOLT Resident Joseph G. Cruz
EXPO Booth #238

Assembling the Lunar is a special companion installation to Joseph G. Cruz's solo exhibition concurrently on view at the Chicago Artists Coalition (through Sept 26) as part of the BOLT Residency. Both installations compound and abate the idea of "geohistorical locativity" by investigating representations of nineteenth-century polar expeditions, satellite imagery and lunar exploration.  This is the second year the BOLT Residency has had a special presentation at EXPO Chicago. This year's selection of BOLT resident Joseph G. Cruz was juried and curated by Dieter Roelstraete, Manilow Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Learn more.
