Young Design Alumni Lecture Series: Ryan Belock

As part of the Young Design Alumni Lecture Series, University of Notre Dame 2012 Design graduate Ryan Belock will be lecturing on PROJECTION DESN 101: the modern drama of video production, graphic design, music, and entertainment technology.

Ryan Belock (Interdisciplinary Artist) is a 2011/12 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Music Performance (Percussion), FTT (Theatre), and Graphic Design. He is currently a third­year MFA candidate in Integrated Media for Live Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. His work concentrates on establishing projected media as a scene partner and movement for the performer­designer. Belock’s thesis, RE/CONNECT (Spring 2015) is an interdisciplinary (arduino LED costumes, immersive video projections, movement, and live music) performance about the fascination with current trends in communication technology and intimacy.
