Detroit-based artist and ND MFA ‘00 Chido Johnson will be visiting campus March 6th and 7th. 

His visit will include a public talk on Tuesday, March 7th 3:30-4:30 pm in Riley Art Building, room 108.

Detroit artist, originally from Zimbabwe, a 2009 Kresge Fellow, and 2009 MacDowell Colony Fellow, Chido Johnson received his BFA in Painting and Sculpture in 1996 from University of Georgia, Athens.  He obtained his MFA in Sculpture from the University of Notre Dame in 2000.  Chido has worked, exhibited, and taught both nationally as well as internationally.  He is currently the section chair of Sculpture at the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan.
