Doris Chon, Research Specialist at the Getty Research Institute, will give a lecture on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 5:15 pm in McKenna Hall. The title of Doris Chon's talk is "Harald Szeemann's Museum Mythology”
Doris Chon is a writer and art historian based in Los Angeles. She is currently writing a monograph on the fictive museum in contemporary art and co-organizing an exhibition about the Swiss curator Harald Szeemann, scheduled to open at the Getty Research Institute in winter 2018. She is a graduate of the Whitney Independent Study Program and holds a Ph.D in art history from UCLA. She currently serves as a Research Specialist at the Getty Research Institute.
