Artist Shinique Smith, whose work is on view in the exhibition Solidary & Solitary: The Joyner/Giuffrida Collection, will talk about her career.
Smith was born in Baltimore, MD and is currently moving her studio from New York to Los Angeles. She has had recent solo exhibitions at the California African American Museum, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts (Nashville, TN), the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum (Lansing, MI), and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among many others.
