Art180

Location: Online (Zoom) (View on map )

Feeling ready—or even eager—to spend quality time with an original work of art again? With the Snite Museum reopening for the fall semester, we invite you to ease yourself back into the galleries with Art180. Spend 180 minutes over the course of the semester looking at a single photograph in the exhibition Touchstones of the Twentieth Century: A History of Photography at the University of Notre Dame. You choose the photograph, and you decide how frequently you visit your work. Find some quiet time for yourself in the spacious exhibition galleries and settle in to journal, sketch, or simply look. Sign up here to receive both a notebook in which to record your experience and words of encouragement and tips to keep looking from museum staff.

If you are unable to visit the Museum in person we can send you a digital image of a work of art to spend time with over the semester. Indicate that you would like to "Art180 from Home" when you register online, and we will reach out with a short questionnaire. Your responses will help us select works of art for you that you might enjoy for your remote Art180.

Just a reminder that at this time, for health and safety reasons, the Museum is only open to Notre Dame staff, students, and faculty.
