Location: Snite Museum of Art (View on map )

Internationally renowned sculptor and installation artist Jaume Plensa is among the leading cultural figures of our time.  Based in Barcelona, he has created a vast body of work sited prominently across Europe, Asia and the United States. Most well-known on campus for Tale Teller VI—situated at the Snite Museum of Art's entrance—and in the Midwest for Chicago’s famed Crown Fountain, Plensa has recently installed the colossal Water’s Soul on the Hudson River overlooking Manhattan.

Working in a wide variety of materials, Plensa has created sculptures that work as visual metaphors to address and inspire unifying themes of humanity in his viewers. In a special visit to the University of Notre Dame, the artist will discuss his practice and many of his most iconic endeavors.
