Travel to India for a 3-week intensive in July to experience social advocacy within the Social Design course offered in the Fall of 2018 in Visual Communication Design. Course commences end of July with a 3-week travel component to India and continues over the Fall semester at Notre Dame. Students understand their role as designers/collaborators/ catalysts through real life experiences. Working with students from India in multi-disciplinary teams, the focus is on complex problems that balances strategic thinking with innovation. The goal is to understand these multifarious problems within a new paradigm and socio-economic parameter of a rapidly evolving country and its pluralistic culture and returning to Notre Dame with renewed and re-energized perspectives on those very same issues to examine and address them locally. Students must be enrolled in the Social Design course to participate in the travel abroad component.

The information session will cover costs, time frame and eligibility for the course.
