The Department of Art, Art History and Design's 2012 Art History Symposium was held Friday, April 20.

This third renewal of the annual event featured the department's graduating seniors and MA candidates in the area of Art History. Presenters spoke on a diverse variety of art topics ranging from the classical to the contemporary.

The 2012 renewal was the most comprehensive and expansive Art History Symposium the department has ever had the honor of hosting.  Ten graduating art history Seniors and art history MA candidates presented their thesis research, with topics ranging chronologically from medieval Irish manuscript illustration to the monumental, phenomenologically oriented sculpture of Richard Serra.
