Please congratulate Emily Hoffmann, Fifth Year BFA ID and Pre Med Senior.

Emily was voted our 2014 ID Student Merit Recipient by a team of industrial designers, representing the IDSA, Industrial Designers Society of America.

The design jury of eight, from Whirlpool Corporation’s Design Center (Benton Harbor, MI) TEKNA Design Group (Kalamazoo, MI) and Steve Nemeth Design Associates (South Bend, IN) had much praise for those students presenting in West Lake Hall yesterday evening. At the end of deliberations, Emily was chosen on the basis of her illuminating presentation of design innovation that responded to deep research and clear and meaningful objectives.

For this recognition, Emily will present her work alongside merit recipients from all of the Midwest District’s design programs. The IDSA MW District Conference will take place on April 24thin Chicago.

Congratulations, Emily!
